Samir Metlej
President/Lead Project Manager
Samir grew up working with and learning the trade from his father, Samir Sr, a builder in the construction industry.
He graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Engineering and Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Engineering and also received his Project Management Certification from Saint Mary’s University.
Samir is committed to building lasting relationships in the community and beyond. He was the President of the Diman Association of Canada from 2013-2015 and is focused on helping build the future for Halifax.
Laura Metlej
Cheif Financial Officer
Laura has worked alongside Samir since 2011 and together they have built what is known as The Metlej Group (TMG). Laura’s careful yet intuitive approach make every project she works on a success. Her organizational skills are unparalleled.
Laura graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce and from Saint Mary’s University with a Certified Management Accountant degree and, before joining TMG, managed the books for her father’s business.
Laura wears the hat of CFO but also contributes immensely on our “design & build” projects by offering her wisdom on layout, open space, and aesthetics. She works hand in hand with our clients to get them the result they desire.
